The Start of Porters Half is at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon at 5394 feet above sea level.
From there, runners will run downhill winding through neighborhoods onto a steep descent on beautiful Dimple Dell Road, finding their way down to the city of Draper. In Draper, runners will run on beautiful Porter Rockwell Trail, while looping portions of the city. Runners will then run north along historic Fort Street finishing at Draper Park at 4,528 feet. A total decrease of 866 ft. There are a few small rollers to keep you honest!
The 10k starts near Draper Park off of Boulter lane. Runners will be shuttled to the start to avoid the long walk to the starting line The course loops through neighborhoods and merges onto the half marathon route, following the same course as the half marathon winding its way through beautiful Draper City.
